Does anybody out there have any recommendations on the best types (digital / analog) and models for delay pedals for the bass??? I was looking into a boss dd7 or an EHX deluxe memory man (5 knob model), but would like some input.

ANY INPUT OR HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFULL

Thanks,

I've used an Ibanez AD-9 with good effect, for both medium delay Roger Waters type stuff, and a chorus (chorus is just a short delay).

This is one case where I think multi effect pedals excel - they often have a wide variety of delay, chorus and compression effects with a LOT of control. These can be had for a song (nyuk nyuk nyuk) in the used market.

If you have a chance, check out the Boss and Digitech offerings.

I own a DD-7, but I'm not too much of a fan of it anymore. It doesn't sound musical enough to my ears. The effect is too clean and too unnatural to my ears. I also own the MXR Carbon Copy delay and I think it sounds a lot better.

The pedal I used to own that I wish I never sold was the boss RV-3 digital delay / reverb. When I combined the digital delay with the hall reverb (all in one pedal) I got a cool sound. Now I just use a the Carbon Copy and a Holy Grail reverb.

I'm a closet effect-aholic.

Thank guys for all the help... What about something like a moog, diamond, or eventide? Does anyone have any opinions on any high end boutique type units?

Thanks again for the help. ;)

I use a DD-6. Does everything I need it to do (which when added to a chorus w/the right settings gives me a fretless sound)

Thanks again guys for all the input.

Have any of you fellows heard a Donnerbox Spatial Delay. (WOW)
Sounds like a great pedal, but i can't find one anywhere.
Although the Eventide sounds pretty good to.
What do you guys think?

BOSS DD-3, Ibanez DE-7 both are great pedals, and can be had for pretty cheap.

Any of the BOSS delays are good, IMO.
