I Started to discover that i'm having technical difficulties with my delay clarity(I've got two units 1986 Boss dd-3 and TC. Electronic 2290).

I dont know how to start... hmm my signal chain is based on Soundsculpture looper where ive got them units plugged in(apart from tc 2290 as i dont know in which order i should connect it up) and today i doscovered that when the dd-3 is either in series or parallel its making more noise and basically overdrives signal it looks like that:

Guitar>dd3>Mesa

When ive got it plugged through loop its like heaven and earth.

My question is if its worth to plug amps loop to the looper and use it with delay and route other effects this way or have them as in normal signal chain i.e. guitar>phase 90>mesa(loop:dd3)?

If you're using any amount of preamp gain, time based FX are usually better suited to a loop. Plus it's likely a low impance loop, so you'll notice less colouring by running FX through there. The Boss pedals are buffered, so you'll definitely notice a change if you run them in front of the amp (whether or not you like it, that's subjective).

As for the loop- If you have a parallel loop, that's probably the best way to preseve your tone (rather than having all of your signal running through the delay). Set the delay to 100% wet and then blend it in with the loop. (I do this along with a volume pedal so I can actually blend in the amount of wet FX.)

But trust your ears. Try your setup a bunch of ways and see what you like. Me, I generally prefer delay in the loop and I like parallel loops when available.

I actually use preamp gain but DD3 sounds lot lot better in amp effect loop anyway I was wondering if i can use looper and do it like this:

In/out(looper)>In/out(Amp loop) and use switcher to eiter use or not use delay or other effects that will sound better in effect loop but will loop in the loop sound any good?

You should be able to use your looper in the FX loop of the amp. I've done this with a GCX a bunch of times in building rigs for local guys in Cincinnati.

I would only use it with time based effects and modulation effects. Put any filters, compression, overdrive, etc. in front of the amp.

This *might* add a little noise due to the higher possibility of ground loops, so always work one piece at a time from the LAST piece of the signal chain.

And if it's a parallel FX loop, make sure all of your effects are set to 100% wet then use the FX loop settings to mix them in.
