Fun and cool story I wanted to share with you.
My buddy August who plays for Dennis DeYoung was in town for a gig last evening. He got me a pair of tickets to see the show. As I was about to leave home to drive downtown, I got a SMS from him saying his wireless unit had just crapped out. Not too worried, I grabbed my Line6 Relay G50 and texted him that I would have it with me. He did not remember that I own one (he was the one who convinced me to go with the G50 instead of the G30).
Sorry for the really bad pics, I left home thinking about the wireless unit instead taking my camera with me, so the photos are blurry, they were taking with my BlackBerry.
My Relay G50 on stage:
Me and August (I'm on the left) on stage at "La Place Des Arts", I'm holding his EBMM Axis:
Dennis' girlfriend (and back vocal), Dennis Deyoung, Me, my wife and August:
Dennis was pretty cool. He knew I was the one who helped with the wireless unit. He is 64 years old. He gave a very good show. All the musicians were awesome and top players. Very humble and nice folks.
That was for me a very nice and special evening. Styx was for one of the first bands that introduced me to rock music. I had not heard most of these songs for so many years. I had goose bump most of the evening.

For those of you EBMM lovers, my buddy's Axis was something special to check out. The back was full of scratches and dents, and the neck color was now kinda "grey"... You could see some rust here and there on the hardware. You could see that this guitar had seen some action. He told me that for him it was still the best guitar he had and would not trade it for anything. BTW, he finaly met someone at EBMM and was planning having his guitar sent for a complete maintenance.
