I'm down to another dilemma!

I'm still getting my JP6 MD, waiting for the funds to clear...

meanwhile...

What should I get next?

Axis Pacific Blue Burst?

or a Mesa Boogie Roadking Combo or half cab?

I currently have a Line6 Spider... and a GibsonSG that I'm going to sell once I get my JP6

man i have the same problem... i thought i was ready for a JP6 but the finances just weren't ready. but i always wonder what i'll want after the JP. for me, i think it will be a silo, white with black PG or desert gold, then after that an ASS in pacific blueburst or black cherry burst with piezo, or a B52 half stack. all of this is very much future though, except for the JP which will hopefully be in the next couple of years (if the LE is autumn red rise any time soon i'll be putting a second mortgage on my liver)

Get the amp. At least you have an awesome guitar to play through it!

+1!

I always recommend getting a good amp first before getting a super guitar. It's more important to your tone than the guitar (especially if you have a nice SUB to play through it already!).

Get a new amp, i've never really consider a Line 6 spider an amp, more like a toy, (no offense to anyone who uses one). You have a great guitar, now get a great amp.

Frankly, I think this is a question of what you are doing with your music. If you are playing in a band go for a nice tube amp. However, if you are a happy bedroom shredder you have absolutely no need (or use) for a 100w top and a 4x12 and in that case I'd go for either an SS or an AL.

Cheers

I think the main reason why I want a nice tube amp is because it sounds so sweet... A part of me believes that I will be more motivated to play, and play better. There was a thread a while back about how EBMM's made you play better, whether it was because you played more, or it had mystical powers.

The option of playing in a band and playing live will always be there for me. I think having a nice amp regardless adds an extra cherry ontop of that sundae.
