Johnny Dubai and I had our own little desert bash here in Dubai last night.
I spent some time at his appartment (after struggling to find it) and then onto a rather (very) posh hotel for some drinks.

Let me put on record how great a guitarist Jonny is - his Ritchie Kotzen chops are 8l00dy amazing!!!

Here's a couple of photos - I have some video clips of him playing too but they are dark and ya can't really see him - want me to post them?

I tell ya this sofa was huge - really huge and although we are not the build of fsmith it makes us look like midgets!!

hahahaha sweet mate. I anmknackered and at work at the moment. Spud is a guitar player with increadable feeling and tone.

Man you can realy see the half flame/quilt in that photo.

We had a great time talking 8ollock$ about guitars all nigh.

life's a "beach" and I'm just going out to the centre of Dubai - will post clips later say 6:00 "Dubai time".

JD picked up the bar tab too! - one of the swankiest hotels I've been in!!
- I bet that hurt! The beer we were drinking was called Tiger beer and 2 pints went straight to my head!

For part 2 of the Dubai "Classic" I'm gonna make sure that I find the cheapest bar in town (for my tab!) ha!

A trip to Singapore huh? - very temping but after 2 pints of Tiger a load of "Balls" will be talked!

Ironically, I enjoy Guinness! I got a small collection of Guinness goblets...

You think I look red last night - you oughta see me after today!

We went to Karama in Dubai where they sell "real-fake" Rolexes and Cartier watches.

I even ended up playing outside and inside one of the shops that was a blast with "requests" coming from all sides!

I treated then to some blues and Neil Young followed by some Zepplin, Hendrix and snow patrol. Because I had an EBMM polo shirt on they were calling me "the crazy music man from Wales" - ha it was a blast!

Isn't it amazing when this forum brings together people from 1000's of miles away, together!

Off to the state of Oman tomorrow to visit some Fjords and swim with dolphins.
- wish I could stay !!

Bugger. I was up at 5.30 am after a few beers and struggled through the day. Cam home and slept for about an hour. Off to rehersal in about 20 mins, 1 more day of work and its the weekend. Give me a buzz when you get back.

Hey very good that you keep ontop of current events - we saw that smoke plume all day - thank goodness the wind took it in another direction - we were wondering all day what the hell it was!!
