détente position

The détente position on the bass knob on my SR5 has been weird since I got it.. it never "clicked" like the mid and treble knob but now it's about at the point where it spins freely like the volume knob. Any body else have something like this happen? the bass control still works perfectly, just wondering if it was anything I should worry about.

I just took the knob off and turned it around and tightened it that way...problem solved.

I had the same problem with a Sterling I bought used. Just gotta tighten the allen wrench screw on the knob. Seems like you got it taken care of.
