Hello there!

I've had my Blue Dawn Pet a little over 4 years now. All that time I've felt that I can't get the intonation quite perfect enough. The saddles wouldn't go enough to the right, if you know what I mean. It hasn't been lacking much, but enough for me to hear it. Because it hasn't bothered too much, and I'm a broke ass student, I've let it slide until now.

About an hour ago, after a few beers and a fight with my girl friend (we kissed and made up already) I decided to radically approach the problem.

I simply took the tightening screw of the saddle off and shortened the spring by cutting it. I did this with G- and B-strings. Then put it together again and guess what?

The intonation is perfect! I can fret a chord in any position on the neck and its perfect :) Boy I'm I a happy camper. I'm sure my methods are nothing ground breaking or anything, but I'm just glad I let my logical thinking overcome my fears of screwing around with a 2500€ guitar.

Anyway, I had to share this moment of happiness with people who know what I mean :) Have a nice weekend and take care!!

Edit: grammar

Does it go up to 11 now Tim??

I try NEVER to tinker with my guitars, saves paying to have my efforts repaired!

It just doesnt make a nasty crackling noise! I also sorted out some dry joints and bad soldering around the output jack. This guitar has had several pots, switches and jack sockets over the years!
