Hey guys, did some recording with my old band mates a couple weeks ago using my JPX 7. Love this guitar! We decided to get together after 10 years and record some of our old tunes for fun. This vid is some of the raw footage they got when I was tracking solos and other guitar parts. Luckily I was able to go back and fix a few of the flubs you'll hear. :p Let me know what you think!

I just watched it...awesome playing bro! Some really good runs and clean arpeggios, good stuff. I've not heard of your band out here in Cali, but good music is getting rare here lol.

Album is done, here is some background on it:

Hey guys, wanted to share this album with anyone that might be interested! I was in a band called Scarred Visions in college (2000-2003) that wrote 12 songs during that time with four of them being recorded as a demo E.P. in 2002 (included as last 4 on this album). We broke up shortly after graduation pursuing different careers, etc. We’re all either married with kids, engaged, or whatever now a days but decided to get together 10 years later this past summer and record the rest of our songs for fun and to share with anyone interested. So, in June of this past year we got together to spend a long two day weekend at a buddy’s house to record all 8 tunes not previously done (first 8 on the album). It was pretty ambitious to do this much in such a short amount of time as we found out of course. I’m a borderline perfectionist anyways so it was also tough for me to only be able to do two maybe three takes on my leads and take the best ones (and same for rhythm)! But in the end we realized we had to make a lot of compromise if we just wanted to get our tunes to tape.

So, take a listen, download if you’d like, and share with anyone else you think may dig our stuff! It’s not quite as polished as I would have liked but I’m still proud of what we did in those couple days. If you’d ask me how to describe the music it would be hard to say as I can’t really draw a direct comparison to any particular band but we are all influenced by a ton of bands like Dream Theater and all the early thrash bands! And, our singer was a vocal major and has been singing Opera for the last 10 years, so it’s hard to classify his singing style. He did his best to get back into the rock mindset of the last 4 tunes you’ll hear on the album, but there’s still a lot of operatic vibrato and nuances of course. Let me know what you guys think and please share away! (Also, we’re not trying to make any money off this, so if you download off bandcamp, just put in $0.00). Thanks guys!
