Firstly, I would just like to say that I bought my first EBMM guitar (Pink Axis Tribute) and I am new to this forum. Nice to meet everyone.

Not too long after the first EBMM guitar arrived, I started thinking about what my second one was going to be. I know I want a piezo system and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get a black axis SS w/piezo. Then I noticed that the guitar jacks for the piezo are different on the axis than they are on the JP. What's the difference? Do they function and sound the same? There has to be some sort of reason for why they are different, so I want to find out before I go dropping that kind of money. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have asked the question long ago but did not get any answer from ebmm.

My feeling is that piezo appeared first on the axis then the preamp board was optimized and added to all the other models

Only the axis piezo is like that (maybe the 20th too)

There is no difference in sound. The eq ccan be adjusted on the axis too but you need to unscrew the back plate
