Now that I've got a little experience with my Hp fretless Bongo, I've got a question.

The overall output seems somewhat lower than my HHp. I have to turn up a bit when I switch basses.

I haven't measured the pickup height, but it looks about the same and I've never touched any of the pickups. Given EBMMs high level of quality control, I'm assuming that both basses are to spec.

It's no problem at all. I'm just curious if it has to do with the different pickup configuration, or (though I don't see how this could possibly be relevant) the fact that it's fretless.

Any bright ideas?

Okay, so I got to play Larry's Bongo 5H in practice last night (WAY different from my bass, and in a good way...for certain songs it just kills) and sensed no difference in output from my HHp.

So I'm thinking it has something to do with the fretlessness of the whole thing.

It's all cool. Love all of 'em.
