Question DiMarzio pups for Albert Lee

I have an older AL (no silent circuit) with the original SD pickups.

I have a couple of 1991 HSH Silo's and I prefer the sound of their single coil to anything I've managed with Albert's SD's.

I've read that the Silo's single coil was custom wound, based on the Blue Velvet.

DiMarzio has replaced the Blue Velvets with True Velvets.

Has anybody tried a set of these? Did you leave them in or go back the the SD's?

What other recommendations does the forum have? I play rhythm, mostly "classic rock" covers.

Try some Suhr Fletcher-Landaus or a set of Suhr V60's.

Or some Lawrence noiseless pups...
