distortion box of choice with JP

I am using two amps a carvin V3 that likes the JP's humbucker voicing and a mesa Stiletto that does not sound as good with it. So within the contect of El34 cranked clean channel and JP's newest pups, what is a good box for some Petrucci to Vai kinda drive (think box hitting the front of the clean EL 34 channel) thanks
