Help! Do I have a DEFECTIVE JPX?! WTF!!!!

This could be total ignorance on my part but i've tested on different guitars, same amp and keep getting the same result. So you may be asking yourself whats going on Devin?! WTF IS IT?!

This is whats going on:

Whenever I play on the B string. At least I think its the B string Second to last string(thin) It kind of echos when I do a hammer on. As if holding a the sustain pedal on a piano and playing two notes. I dont get whats going on its driving me nuts! I know its not my playing for I've done hammer ons on a Fender Squire with much better results. Again PLEASE help!

Also I can play a note on the B string take my finger off and it'll still ring out the note!

If you want I can MMS you a sound clip of a recording I took. I'd post online but my internet is **** and that would take hours!

There is no way to diagnose if there is an issue or what is contributing to it... not over the net anyway.
If it's a new axe, contact your dealer. If you get no joy there:

It could be anything, probably just needs a tweak or setup. If there IS an issue, they'll sort it out.

it sounds like resonance... harmonic resonance? it would make sense because of the chambering. it happens on all guitars, not that im an expert, but from my experience if you play a fretted note for which there are open string harmonics that give the same note, for instance if you play high e string fifth fret (A note) and hold it, the D string 7th string harmonic will lightly chime after a few seconds due to resonance. makes sense to me that chambering would maximise this.

By this reasoning, if you play a 4th fret on the low B and hold it (Eb), resonance shouldnt activate any harmonics because there arent any. Do you have this problem with the 4th fret as well?

Remove Tremolo Plate on back - play that note and check if the trem springs are resonating.
If so put some paper cloth to dampen that between them.

Do you know how to palm mute and mute with your fretting hand? Also what are you plugged into right now amp wise, is their a delay button on it that you do not know about.I know you just started playing electric guitar after a year on acoustic, and their is a different approach to playing electric especially knowing how to properly mute, and have control over all the strings or you will have a lot of notes ringing and unwanted string noise. I really cant understand how it could be the guitar though anything is possible. Take it to a place that has a good tech and show him what you are talking about and I would be certain it would be cleared up when you leave,good luck and dont stress as it will be corrected.

GUYS STOP WITH THE ADVICE. please how many times do I have to tell you that you are well meaning but not helping either of us in the end. You wouldnt take health advice froma stranger and I would never take the advice of someone who hasnt seen the problem
