So I've been thinking about making up a second scratchplate for my SSS Silo Spec. It's been prompted by RadRock putting that Axis Neck bucker up for sale.

I thought it might be cool to be able to take off the SSS plate and put on a 2x HB plate.

So the question is, do either of the above mentioned plates go on a Silo Spec ? Or can i in fact buy a 2xHB Silo Spec plate ?

Or of course I could buy Kompressuars SUB1..

NoNoNONono, not more Musicmans.............

I believe every MM scratchplate is unique to the model it's designed for-it would probably be easier to contact EB customer service and order an appropriate one. :)

DrBob,

If my SUB1 doesnt sell on ebay in the next few hours you are welcome to the diamond plate guard which came with it.

SUB bass PGs are interchangeable with StingRay ones so maybe the Silo Special plate can be swapped out for a Sub1

cheers

Hey Dr. Bob,

Actually, the Silhouette Special has a molex connector for easy switching of pickup configs. If you give the Music Man customer service a shout, they can help you get one on order.

All the best,
Beth :)

A while back I sold Raz (remember Raz?!) a silo spec pickguard for his Sub. Fit perfectly, so I assume you shouldn't have any problems putting a sub guard on a Silo (provided you've routed for a humbucker in the neck).
