Question Do you care about fakes? How to report?

I came across a shop selling knock-offs this weekend.
There was one labelled Ernie Ball Stingray, Made in USA.
It was, as one would expect, a horrible attempt.
But it used the logo and such.
I'm not the bass police, and don't own any of your guitars or basses, but if you want to know the details, let me know.
I will ONLY respond to EB personnel. I will not respond to other members for this topic.

Thanks for the heads up Foamy. As people who buy these instruments, we know that the company cares when fakes are being sold but second, we also care as well. First, we don't want to end up buying fake, second, they de-value our instruments, third, they give others a bad impression of what they think Music Man really is because those things aren't made with the same quality. Again, thanks for taking the time to join the forum and post what you found. We all appreciate it!

My pleasure.
In this case, nobody with 2 brain cells to rub together would be fooled, but it's still a crappy thing and if EB wants to, they now have the info to do what they wish. I don't own any EB instruments, so I don't have a dog in this fight.
This one had a huge square hole in the side of the body poorly patched. It looked like somebody drilled into the body with a mortiser and then plugged it with a tenon. And there was so much else that was just so horrible. Not even a good fake.
But to me, what p'd me off was that they used the name, the logo, the Made in USA, etc....
There were also a couple labelled OLP there. The Hofner copy was just as bad. It actually said "Hofner, Since <some year>" on the headstock and pickguard. I don't remember the year though. But it was pathetic.
Anyhow, now it can be handled if desired.
