All,
1st Post here!
2 Questions :
I need some Info on a EBMM Silhouette (SSS config) I have, bought 2nd hand for good price
BUT does have neck issue (which I was aware of)..
Serial No. 95090 = Date?
Basically Info on Pickups, presuming DiMarzio? and if Silent Circuit included?
Its got 5 Bolt neck . Also presuming its Candy Apple red?
Also I know there is an issue with the Neck, Guitar Shops I have had setup guitar say
there is "No relief" so Truss Wheel won't turn any further.
Currentlly has a set of very heavy gauge strings (Heavy Bottom, Light Top) on to combat this, though neck still feels superb to play, Strings are quite heavy!
My options are :
1) Get new neck in UK (where I live) and where is best place to source new neck?
2) "Slipping" : I believe this is where they heat neck and bend it into shape... ouch!
3) Stick with "as is" with heavy gauge strings for rhythm work.
4) Find a good luthier to work on neck
I love playing this guitar but would be nicer to have a ligter set of strings to play. I suppose its
down to preference normally play 9-42, these have 11-54/56 I think?
