Nice Luke collection you got there James. My question to you is: how do you compare the Luke1 and the Luke2? Which do you preffer if you do and is there any tonal difference? I just got my Carbon Blue Luke2 couple of days ago and it is an absolutely amazing guitar. Very versetile and the sounds I can get out of it are amazing, without changing the amp settings.

sound

Hi Roubster love your new luke ive checked out some of your pics very nice, when r you gonna get another luke :) you no you wont one hahahah
both guitars are red hot and i want another one :D maybe a burgendy mk1 so to have the pair just need to get some funds first ...the mk2 luke is the guitar i use most live as it has more of a rounder sound to it and seems to rock out a bit more the slv emg do make a difference as for the mk1 i tend to use it if im gonna record some stuff or go mad with the whammy bar it seems to me to have a more sweeter sound like the valley arts guitars used to have i believe the mk 1 emg singles are 57's and you cant get them anymore:mad:
either way both these guitars are 10/10 you need to try out a mk1 ..

I definatly would like to try a Luke 1, but I have no idea where that could be. However I really prefer the MM Tremolo to the locking pain in the ars floyds. I mean of course they are good if you really use the whammy, but I dont go insane with it at all. Plus I really LOVE the tone pot on my Luke 2. I can get so many different sounds by the pick up combos and the volume and tone pots.
