Hello,

First time Stringray owner and relatively new bass player here :) I'll pick up my bass next couple days from Guitar Center.

I am wondering if I should make an appointment with guitar tech there and have it setup and then pick it up? I am not sure how setup these beautiful instruments already are. Since I am new to this, not sure what to do. Your advice is much appreciated.

Thanks

If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it. But if there is something that’s not feeling right to you adjusted to taste. A factory set up is exactly that, a one size fits all set up

Neck might need to be adjusted if it’s an unfinished neck and it’s shipped to you but that’s very easy, just stick something in the truss rod wheel and turn it right to lower left to raise! The intonation and the pickup height etc is gonna stay put especially on a fretted instrument
