Well, the saddles are different. Block saddles on the piezo vs. vintage ones on the non. To me there's a difference in tone when swapping the saddles on the same guitar (just did it on my AL and then put the vintage ones back).

Ah, that's the sort of thing I wanted to know. I don't play acoustic anymore and am sort of a minimalist. Good stuff to know. Gracious!

I think the JPs with piezo sound different from the non-piezo ones. They sound brighter to me--at least the ones I've tried.

Luke did play an absolutely stunning white sparkle piezo luke a few years ago. he used it on this vid too: YouTube - Steve Lukather in the studio

Saw it one time in real life in 2001, but it was my first concert EVER and i was so blown away by his performance that i didn't notice his guitars he used that night:eek:

WOW! what a guitar player Luke is...I was amazed at his talent, and the guitar he's using was awesome...Great video there luc....Now you got me GASSING for a Luke guitar.....More confused:confused:  about my new guitar choice.

STOP THE PRESSES! Ive just been watching my Albert Lee Country Legend video and he uses a Vintage Sunburst piezo AL!!! Ive seen it so many times but only just now did i notice it. If you can find a clip of the song Restless you can SEE the piezo extra knob on the AL.

EDIT- holy smokes! in that song he does the final solo using the piezo!!!!!!! Great tone! Now i have BAS for a piezo AL!
