Does anyone have a JP 6 or 7 String in Gunsmoke???

Hey guys,

I am a newbie to the Ernie Ball forum board and I was wondering if ANYONE has the JP Guitar in the Gunsmoke color?? I know John used it for his 6DOIT, TOT, and Octavarium tour. I have not seen another one produced other than the one he currently has (7 string). I don't want the Egyptian Smoke, which has a different kinda tint to it..

but defenetly not gunstock grey.

Welcome to the forums. If you like that color, you should look into Graphite Pearl. It looks great in person.

It was either here or on the JP forums that I read for the TOT tour that his main 6 stringer was a Mystic Dream and his main 7 stringer was a Gunsmoke. If you check This Dying Soul on the Budokon DVD that's defo not a sparkle colour.

Just my 2 pennies. I could be wrong.

I've seen two for sale in the last three years, both were stripped 7 string models. One was owed by a guy on the Petrucci forum, it had a small dent in the front and he wanted too much $ for my book. The other was on eBay in GB, I was outbid on that one, but I wasn't gong to compete with bidders from the UK, the currency conversion was/is way in their favor.

That used to be John's main 7 stringer, now he has an MD one, and the new BFR's, of course.

I also really wanted a Gunsmoke 7, bet ended up with an Egyptian Smoke, and i don't it regret one bit, it is an amazing color. i think it has a lot more personality on it's own then Gunsmoke, which just catchs whatever light you hit on it way to much.
