Hi Rob, the answer is yes :)

Talking about experience that I have with my Luke, man there's so many GREAT things happened to me with this awesome guitar. Not just it fits my musical needs of delivering great sound, but it's also enable me to do more experiment on my playing more than any guitars that I have and had before. I definitely will play my Luke for the rest of my life so to speak.

For the future I really hope to get another EBMM guitars, I really like Silo and AL so far, so wish me luck guys :)

P.S : I'm not try to exaggerated anything from EBMM guitars, you just need to play it to believe it !

Yes the thought of another Albert,Silo or Axis, is on my mind everyday. I need to master my 05' Albert before I can reward myself with another. Sure I would like a Bongo or a SR but I have a minty fresh 91' Ric 4003 Fireglo that lives in its case. I am very fortunate of what I own.

Oh Yeah, EBMM deffinitely makes You want more than You need.

I had hard times a couple of years back and was down to my morse only - and I actually learned that I don't need anything else to play whatever I want. Now I have 3 EBMMs, soon to be 4, one BFR and one 20-th silo included - and I don't think like stopping!

I would have to stop for a couple of months probably - but I already WANT more!

It's like anything that puts a smile on your face...you want more.

I don't imagine myself being satisfied with just two.

To quote both Homer Simpson and several prominent politicians, "Well, DUH!!!"

Of course - "it is an addiction" - and like any precious thing, once you have one, you just naturally want more. I certainly wouldn't have been on my GAS kick in this fashion for the past couple of years had I not picked up that first Axis....

I think this forum also has alot to do with my multiple Ball purchases. 8 EBMM in the last year, which coincidently is about the same amount of time I have been a member here.

Actually, finding EBMM made me buy a lot less guitars, because my Silo Special is so perfect, it makes me less interested in finding the next best thing. I actually had no guitar GAS at all for about 6 years, ever since I bought the special, but then I tried a JP6. I had never sought one out because I usually stay away from signature stuff, but I was in an EBMM dealer's shop and they had one so I thought 'what the hell' and tried it out, now I remember what guitar GAS is like :( . Oh well, havig two balls just seems right somehow :D

Interesting question Rob, and one topic you and I have never discussed for some reason. To answer your question... yes EBMM quality, playability, and sound have driven me to buy more guitars than I ever imagined myself owning. Many moons ago, I thought that if I picked up and EC Strat, my search would be over with that one guitar but then I laid my hands on a JP and all desire for said strat vanished. First, I just had to have the Black Sparkle which then forced me to want a piezo equipped JP, hence the Mystic Dream.

All was well and good until the day I spotted the ultra dark Morse. When JP switched to the D-sonic, of course I had to have a JP with that pup for variety... oh and throw in a 7 string for good measure.

Then came the day, you let me try your newly rescued SS and I had to had one of those too.

Finally, a BFR had to be acquired for even more variety.

Now, after all this, I STILL need to pick up a few more... and AL and a Bongo 6, and maybe, just maybe an Amethyst Burst JP BFR.

Does EBMM make me buy more guitars?

Well, on the one hand EBMM and its build quality, tones, playability, variety of models, etc. has helped steer me away from some other brands ....

On the other hand, every time I see a nice ASS I think about getting more EBMM guitars ....:D:rolleyes::D

In all fairness, I think EBMM has helped me to focus my addiction(s) .... see also some of the other items I am a fan of (in my signature line)

cheers always, eh

Does EBMM quality, design, feel, tone, etc. make you buy more guitars than you otherwise would have bought if you were buying guitars from other manufacturers? In other words, if you had never bought an EBMM, would you still be buying as many guitars made by other manufacturers?

I've got a different twist to this concept of buying more and mroe EBMMs.

I used to buy Fenders because I liked the strat. But the problem with Fenders was that they were so inconsistent in quality, you really had to go through a dozen of them before you found one. I had at least 3 strats that didn't really sit well with me. And I put in a lot of playing time to try bonding with them. If I can't bond with them, might as well sell them, or else I'd never play them. So, of the 3 I still hold, I had to let go of at least another 5 before that...

I also owned a bunch of Ibanezes in the past, and the reason I kept buying more was mainly because they kept dying on me. Either the neck would get weird, or the frets would pop out or whatever. So I ended up keeping only 1 7 string baritone, which I HARDLY play, and one Andy Timmons model simply because it sounds good.

EBMMs on the other hand, were a different story. They never died. Never inconsistent. I'd buy an EBMM blind without trying (in fact, I did. TWICE!) and expect to get the same quality I'd get from my 1st JP6, and I get it!!! I buy more now simply because I'm slowly going to replace ALL my guitars with EBMMs because they're just so playable and reliable. I'm looking for a strat replacement now, and it's got to be a Silo Spec. Furthermore, the specs they incorporate into their guitars are just what I've always wanted. Compensated nut, Brass Blocks, Contoured heel, 10" radius, thought the frets could be a tad bigger for my liking...:D

So... SSS or HSS???

Unfortunately ... yes, being an EBMM fanboy definitely results in having to own too many of them.

If only they didn't make such great guitars/basses.

And if only the Ball family & the EBMM employees weren't so damn nice that you wanted to keep spending your money on their products.

Sigh.

Yeah. I would be using a brand of coated string were it not for how cool BP, his family, and his company are to us. Now, I'm a Slinky guy because of them.

I know I already answered on this question ... but I've been pondering thinning the herd a bit ... but still get the feeling there is room for another Ball if I get rid of the non-Balls .... decisions, decisions :)
