Does the 9 volt silent circuit affect the tone control?

Hi,
I have a Silo Special that is having a bit of a tone problem. The tone doesn't work, and I am wondering if the 9 volt silent circuit affects the tone control. Customer service already graciously sent me a new tone pot, but after installing, it still doesn't work. Maybe it's the tone cap? Anyone of you fellow knuckleheads maybe shed some light on something I might be overlooking? I have already contacted customer service and I am sure they will be able to iron it out, I am just kinda bummed the new tone pot didn't fix the prob.

I've noticed no difference with the Sil Special tone control, whether I have a 9v installed or leave the s.c. battery compartment empty. I assume you've check all wire connections while installing the new pot?

Silent circuit in no way affects the tone pot.

It's either wired incorrectly or the tone cap isn't wired up (most likely).

Have you checked all the rest of the wiring?

All other wiring appears fine. If there was a problem with the molex connector, could this affect the tone? Basically there is no change in sound when turning the tone control.
