Saw Dream Theater with my youngest son last evening (he's 14 and starting on drums).
I haven't seen many rock shows in my life and it was my 3rd DT live show... But last evening was among the best! They rocked the crowd for almost 3 hours (taking only a 15 min break).
The whole band was on fire and Mangini is a monster drummer. Sorry Portnoy, but I won't miss you much anymore.
JP rocked mostly his new Majesty serie (but I can be wrong as I had not the best seat in the venue). The red Majesty caused a severe case of GAS (and I just got a new JP6 about a week ago, see another of my post for that story: http://forums.ernieball.com/music-m...-petrucci-6-tangerine-pearl-all-rosewood.html ).
Anyway, sorry for my lack of words, I'm kinda speechless and if you are a fan, don't miss them on that tour.
