Ok, so I'll admit to being a Gilmour fanboy!

But this little beauty :

Is stonking!

And yes, I would end up putting the EMG set in there if it were mine. Probably good for the guitar that it's going to escape my clutches this time!!

I was drooling over that one too! I was also thinking of a black Silo Spec with a black pick guard with white pickups and volume/tone knobs... So, I know what you mean.

I also thought of that setup as an alternate SSS pickguard for my Silo. That red one above looks great and has a nice price, I wonder why it's still there!

I asked about that red beauty already and got no answer yet - the guy there does not seem to be responding fast :).

As for DG20 - I've contacted EMG with the exact same question, that's what they wrote:

"The DG20 board will not work in your guitar (silhouette special), but you can order the SA Set and SPC/EXG separately. You’ll have to contact the EMG Distributor in your area, as we’re a manufacturing facility only"

Too bad it ain't candy apple red ;)

If EBMM would offer the Silo Spec in CAR I would be all over it. The DG20 assembly sounds heavenly, I had it in a CAR American Deluxe strat that I really regret selling.

S & T have (had?) a fantastic Silo that they use in exhibitions - ask the Lemon if it's up for grabs? OK I know its not SSS but if ya gonna fit EMG's who cares - ya Gilmour Fanboi.

PS - shouldn't you be revising ??? ;)

What the difference between a Silhouette and the Special?

Silhouette 24 frets HSH vs 22 frets HSS or SSS on the Special. Older Silhouette's were available with HSS and SSS configuration too and I personally prefer a single coil in the neck position. Scale-length and radius are the same on both as far as I know.

That's weird, I'd have thought it would be a straight drop-in (obviously without the p/g)

I saw that one, but Dr Bob says, you need the trem if you really want to destroy Gilmour tunes (and I can destroy them better than most!!).
