Hey everyone!

This is Amin from Amsterdam I’m newbie here!, last night just ordered my first EBMM The Majesty 6 “Emerlad Sky” Im just on cloud #9 😄
Anyhow!, has anyone ever tuned down their Majesty guitar to Drop B? If so, I know the guitar will need a proper setup to accommodate the new tuning, but I have a few questions for you:

1- Does the nut need to be re-filed to ensure the strings sit properly?

2- Will I need additional tremolo springs, or can three springs handle the tension?

3- What string gauge do you recommend for this tuning? I’d like to for ernieball slinky 12-56 set

4- How the guitar react to the tuning stability when you use some tremolo dives on a tune like Drop-B?

5- What cleaning spray should I use for cleaning the glossy body and an ebony fingerboard? which brand works better on EBMM guitar? Dunlop? Music Nomad?

Looking forward to your insights!

1. Yes, you will need the nut re-filed to accommodate the heavier string gauge.
2. 3 springs should be enough, but if you find that the claw springs are really far in their adjustment range (almost into body) you will need to add a spring.
3. String gauge is going to be purely a personal thing, but I would personally go with a 12-60 or even 12-62 depending on how tight you like the low E-string.
4. The music-man trem is pretty stable, but any heavy trem use is going to make your strings fall out of tune. Make sure to really stretch and break in the strings well.
5. Just about any cleaning spray is fine. Dunlop, PRS, etc. Just pick your poison.
