hey everyone, do any of you people on this forum even play with 8's? i have for a good 3 and a half years now, and they've gone from the best 8's for the money to the worst. anyone share my views or disaggree completely? come on lets hear it!

I would pull it and plug it in the right place;)

Please retry in proper sentences Mr.Robert Moore. I put on EB Strings every day on different guitars in different gauges (repair shop)- same high quality as ever.
Please refine your description of your problem or you just be considered as a problem child around here.
If you have a problem you´ll be helped - otherwise....

Can't agree with you with much. I haven't noticed any difference in quality. My 8's are still getting all the food out between my molars.

(Sorry, I just couldn't resist the cheap shot. :o)

What specific kind of issues are you having?

Robert,

Thanks for being to the point! The answer is absolutley NOT!! Although I use 9's I do use 8's for other guitar projects, up/de-tuned projects, etc. .

The quality of the 8' is that of the 9' - no difference - point blank - hands down - both DEAD on!!

It's another issue you're dealing with there, put this one out of your mind.:)

............they know that their lighter guage strings are substandard.............

Yes, it's an evil plot by the EBMM crew to make YOU, yes, YOU, Robert Moore, have a crappy sound! They secretly plotted to make you sound bad!

The bastards! You'd think they had other things to worry about.

Running a business and all that.

Just for that, I think you should find some OTHER brand of strings to use.

That'll show 'em!

Then again, since both of your posts are basically crying about how Ernie Ball strings are "substandard", maybe you should shove off?

Don't let the door hit ya!

having toured the Ernie Ball factory and seeing the quality checks done at numerous levels (EB even has a guy that just breaks strings all day), I'd say have a closer look at your guitar. Where are the strings breaking? Is it just one string? More info please...

Robert Moore ..
email me and let me know your problem specifically. We'll work it our together ;)

This is for real, I saw him and his machine!

That's one of the things I love about this place, the CS. That, and the final product, yeah man, it's all good stuff.

Been touring for over a decade with EB strings and have broken a string on stage maybe 3 times... I change 'em about every three shows with 2-3hr performance times per show. I play the same guitar about 80% of the night. I know, that's alot of calculating but the point is, EB strings are solid. Still the same kick ass quality :)

Wow!! Thanks buddy :D
I try my best to blow people out of the water ... I'm glad you are one of them. Tell your bro I said what's up!! And of course, a joyful hello to you ;)

I'm Always Having A Problem With Strings!!!!

D'Addario Are To Sticky After A Short Bit!

and i love ernie balls but the 8 & 9 wear out fast(Well For Me, I Don't Know bout Others, now
I'm Using EB 10! they last really long and are my favorite! good Day! :)

Man, all this sizzle, Jodizzle talk is doing my head in. I've been doing a brain dead task all day and I've had Jodizzle and sizzle repeating non stop for some reason.
It all started with the pictures from Namm.

Way to turn a potentially lethal thread into a positive one. I bet he's none too pleased that his attempt to aggravate people was thwarted by the niceness of this forum. Kudos!

She's out of the office today getting tattoos of all of the forumite names on her back. She called in earlier and told us that the tattoo artist had misspelled "NorM". Tomorrow she'll be sore, but ready for the next customer service challenge! :D
