My cousin Steve licks basses, too!

Here's a pic I snapped at the gig last night ;)

That being said, the bassist is thinking of ordering up a new SR5 fretless HS to compliment the SR5 H. Anyone have any experience good/bad with a fretless SR5?

I own a 1989 SR5 FL. and hey, go figger, it's just like my 1992 fretted SR5 without frets...
hmmm. Imagine that, production consistancy! ALthough I think the pickup is a bit different in the 89, seems hotter to my ear.

by all means tell him to get the fretless , he won't be sorry! :D

Pete ~ Jack posted a shot of Erika playing a FL SR5 earlier today.

Ask him what his opinion was of that bass.

I saw the pic, he said later on that he didn't like the missing lines.... I guess other than that it was a StingRay5, which means I will just bully Brian into ordering the bass. :)

Cool deal! I personally love a blank board on a fretless; so much grain to show off...unless it's ebony. ;)

tk, he's played a Bongo 4 HS that I brought to a gig for him to try out - way too much mojo for the other guys to deal with. Talk about jaw-dropping thump, he played the first note of a song and the other guys all turned to look at him with their jaws dropped wide open and eyes wide with fear. :D Personally, I think you're right but the man wants another SR5 in fretless. I'll work him up to the Bongo.

When i first heard of/saw a fretless it was unlined.... then I heard one and I was depressed because I didn't realised they came lined.... now oneday when I have the guts to fork out the money I will get one (probably make that a 5 string.. another thing I don't have the guts to buy)..

The SR5 HS lined fretless could be my next bass. I was playing one through an envelope filter with the single soloed and it killed....
