i just returned my orange amp to it's standby state after 10 minutes of mindless and atonal improvisation based around the open B, th b2, the h2 and the b3 with plenty of b5s and random harmonics; all of which gently cradled in odd meters.
the tone was dark and roaring. i had expected less actually, since the 85 has less mids. i do have to moderate my right hand, the not even slinkies demand way less work to swing wider, and will rattle if i give them a full Hetfield.
i am... so effing stoked...
i will more than gladly oblige any questions. if you require a sound clip however, i will need a mic...
edit: just came back from my mentor's place where we jammed. it took a while but it finally sank thru "why" i would do such a thing.
