dull G string

I did a string change to an all original axis sport..10/46.the g string sounds dull,thumpy all the way up the board..accoustically..the other strings resonate loud and clear.The neck is straight,action fine..you don*t really hear it electrically,But it bugs me..this isn*t the first time .I*ve seen it on several EBMM guitars..any clues/cures out there?

Examine the g S tring saddle and clean it well, my guess. Hope you use some lube for saddles and nut ?

What strings? Never heard on any of my EBMM guitars that the G string is dull, quite the opposite.

I own several EBMM guitars,and only 2-3 have had this prob..the others have rung true blue..will try cleaning the nut/saddle.
