Not strictly speaking on the subject of Duracells for basses but my band uses Sennheisser radio mikes. We find that not only do Duracells last longer but that the mikes seem to perform better and more consistently when they are used. I'm really interested in Golem's info regarding the lithium batteries. At £400+ a mike I would certainly be interested in trying non-leaking batteries.

Hm. I must just have extraordinarily good luck, because i've never had a battery leak. I've never had a ball-point pen "explode" in my pocket, either.

I've always used Duracells because they were the first and continue to be, in my opinion, the best alkaline batteries out there. Lithium cells do look interesting, though.

As a side note, where can one buy Duracell ProCells? I've had them come pre-installed in a couple of pieces of gear, but have never seen them at retail.
