I have an old Earthwood Acoustic guitar made by Ernie Ball back in the early 70's.

Here are a couple of pics of it.

Can anyone tell me what it is worth?

I thin kit would be fair to say that we do not know what the value of it is, seeing as how you did not get an answer on your previous threads.

So your best bet would be to put it on eBay, and see what the bidding gets up to, or contact George Gruhn. He will do an on-line appraisal for $35.

The Earthwood bass is in a class by itself really. It is a true one-of-a-kind instrument that our company last made over 25 years ago, even before we acquired Music Man. As I like to say, they were miles ahead of their time. It is the only acoustic bass I know of that can be heard while being played with acoustic guitars, all unplugged (otherwise, what's the point?) If Earthwood basses were being built during the mid-90's "Unplugged" era, there may have been a different outcome with the instrument. As it is, it remains a very collectable and fairly rare piece that is not seen for sale too often. I believe that's because those who have one intend on keeping it (and with good reason, I might add).

All that stated, what is the value? There is no way to know unless you sell it. Its value has to be seen in the eyes of the buyer who knows what he or she is potentially buying to get its true worth. Like anything else you might want to sell, do your homework. Check vintage shops and websites.. Ask collectors who know. Check eBay. Unfortunately, though, as has been stated, this not the place to find the answer to how much any used instrument is truly worth - the only real place is on the open market. Good selling!

By the way, yes I am pretty new to the site, and apologize for any repeated post.

Here is mine. It plays like a dream.

Here is a couple of pics of mine and I've done shows with it for years. It's beautiful. I added the extra pick guard and the Fishman pickup along with a powered pre-amp. Yes, I cut some holes in it!

it's worth at least $1000. in that condition if you have the luxury of time and storage space until the right buyer comes along- but if you need to sell it in under one month- i would price it at $850. on ebay- I just bought one for 720- although mine is lower grade condition- but on the plus side- it's a super jumbo body- which is ultra rare
