Thanks everyone for educating me. I was worried that the rough and sharp frets I experience on EB basses at MF was a quality issue. I never knew that there is something called "fret sprout" due to environmental conditions and storage. Now I can save-up for my next EB bass with confidence that I'll get a fantastic instrument.
