EB Sabre date?

I have a Late80's Sabre bass.

Serial B027040.

It's a one piece body, highly figured birdseye neck and a transparent pickguard. Anything special about it? I have never seen another like it.

IMO, a late 80's EB Sabre Basse should be a non-prefixed five digit serial, eg "29xxx"

The Pre-EB Sabres were prefixed with C.

The serial you have sounds very much like a Pre-EB Sting Ray.

Can you describe the bridge

It had the mute pads on it at one time. The foam is gone now. Other than that, it looks very close to the ones used today.
