EB stainless bass strings

Yo.
Tried and tested route for getting a longer lasting string; buy a good string, like a set of EBs, and after having put em on properly (which I'm sure you do) always wipe em down with a duster before your sweat dries on em atfer your gig/rehearsal or whatever.
A wiped down string will always last longer than a non-wiped one.
And don't use fast fret and stuff like that - any spray or oil you add to a string will take away from it's lifespan.
As it happens a nickel string tends to be less bright than a steel string when new but dies off a lot more slowly. Steels will seem more metallic when new but will drop off more quickly. Try wiping some nickels?
The heavier the guage the better a string lasts too.

yeah theres a tip---> wipe the strings.. and I'm not being wise but your right cause after a rehearsal my bass is soaked and I never wipe it down till I get home cause I never have anything on hand to wipe it down with.
I'm using boomers on one bass and the EB stainless on another (black and pink package?) which are new to me but where recommended and they seem to be good but for a few jams. I was told to boil my strings and then freeze them to get them clean and sounding better when they are dying?

anyone know how the stainless slinkys compare to DR hibeams?
im a loyal hibeam guy cuz theyre nice n bright - but have been entertaining the idea of trying out these stainless slinks
