are simply the funkiest strap locks I have ever seen! And very very secure. However, on installing them I have ever so slightly threaded the screw hole on the bridge side. I'm thinking some wood glue and a butchered match stick would be the answer but.........andybody got any better suggestions?

What I would do (have done) is as you suggest.
You have two options:-

Use one cocktail stick (could also use some PVA glue) and then just re tighten the screw.

or

Use several cocktail sticks and some PVA and fill up the hole.

Then drill a small pilot hole and retighten.

- it's a common and quick fix.

This kind of repair is no biggie.

I've done it to loads of guitars - and the cocktail stick/pva glue works a treat.

You'd soon know if it didn't work - 'cos your screw would still be loose.
I've just done the very same thing on my newly acquired EVH.
