I just recently purchased an EB volume pedal made for passive guitars (the 250k version.) I use my SG on it and it sounds great. However, I do have a Standard Strat that I just got active pickups on, and I'm not sure if it is ok to use the Strat, and what the disadvantages are of playing an active guitar through it.

Thanks.

Everything would sound dark with the start, that's the only disadvantage i think

You can do that, no prob.

The bigger problem is using the 25k VP with passive pickups- you'll lose a lot of high end.

Using a 250k VP with actives won't be so noticeable, but the taper of the pedal will be off.

If that doesn't bother you then you're good to go. As always, let your ears be the judge :)
