Hi All

I'm sussing out getting another guitar.

I see a few of you writting about ebay and your Axis

Here in Australia it's hard to find any EB guitar. Including mine I've only ever seen one more and that had been in the shop for 3 years

So I'd like a bit of a run down from the people that matter, the forum clan.

I've thought about an Axis I've even had a thought about a second hand AL. What are they really like as I can not get my hands on one to play one :(

I currently have SSS so I'm looking for something different, I'm a little cautious about a maple neck as I've only really played rosewood (I had a maple neck 89 strat but the guitar was a dog)

I'm also a bit of a blues freak if that helps.

I've owned a Axis SS and AL's before and can only offer my opinion on each. I think the necks are similar on both but the bottom side of the Axis neck feels sort of tappered. Hard to explain but to me the AL has more meat on the bottom if that makes any sense at all. Sorry to embarrass any of my friends here with my lack of knowledge... :D Both are great guitars but I like the AL because I prefer single coils and the neck in a bit more comfortable for me. Great blues guitar as well. Very balanced when you hold it and very light too. If you had both guitars I believe you would just about have every thing covered. Check out JimiD here on the forum and go to his web site. He has lots of good info about his guitars and EBMM there as well.
