Just thinking about the ebmm related events of 2004 for me.

I got my dream guitar with piezo, the vintage sunburst LUKE.

The sad passing of Ernie.

Telling Steve Lukather in the EB booth at Namm how much I love his guitars and that I own 2 (now 3). Him saying thanks and shaking my hand...then throwing up on me. Kidding about the throwing up :D )

Going to a Laker game with Tyler.

Seeing the Steve Morse clinic at GIT back in Feb ( and meeting Jerry B.)

Cutting heads with Norm at a GC competition (both of us playing eb's...and losing :( )

Watching Norm play one of steve's masterpieces "Vista Grande"

Getting cool shirts and a prized framed photo Norm made up for me.

Jamming and spending several hours with Koogie.

Koogie and Darrell posting a few of my songs here and the nice things said about them (the songs...not darrell and Koogs).

Thanks to all the good folks here and at the company. May 2005 be a good year for all.

2004 was the year I decided to get back to the guitar and, in my search, discovered the EBMM line of quality guitars and the good people and depth of knowledge associated with the company and this forum.

So with EBMM related items, it's been a very good year.

And here's to a happy and healthy new year to all...in all aspects of their lives.

(I think I''ll stop now before I need a tissue)

Oh yeah, I forgot to add to this.

As with orange channel I did a complete revamp of my guitar gear...bought all three of my balls this year, all because of the first one I bought, my Petrucci. Here's to an even better 2005.

Ah another great post...I just realized how important this year is also, having not played in 15 years, then picking up an EBMM and falling instantly in love, sorta like sleeping beauty, being kissed by a prince and awakenning from one's slumber. I also realize how important my Sub1 is...as you can see from the pics it celebrates this grand year just beautifully...

2004.....man, had to be a weird year for me. So, here is my list:

1. Got my JP's, Bongo, Vetta and other stuff I probably didn't need. :p

2. Found my tone, lost it, found it again...thanks OC! ;)

3. Got to meet OC and Keith......both very cool dudes and killa players! :D

4. Played my a$$ off on guitar.....or, as much as I could due to my work.

5. Got some cool vids and CD's from Keith.....man, I owe you big time bro! :D

6. Went to Iraq and Afghanistan......must say, it is sunny there. Work is not fun there by no means and I miss my family, friends, the forum and guitars. :(

7. Watched a friend pass away due to the stupidity of another human. :(

Not too bad of a year except for line items 6 and 7. That is job related and it is one that I have chosen so I can only blame myself for being in that field. However, I have to do what I have to do. It is something that I believe in and that is all that matters.

Hopefully, 2005 will find all of us still playing/writing wonderful music and putting it out here for all to hear. There is soooo much talent on this forum that it amazes me.

I also hope the New Year will bring all our guys/gals from Iraq and Afghanistan home and make me unemployed. If that happens, the world has definitely become a better place! Believe me, I would not mind!

I hope everyone here meets and exceeds all their dreams and expectations and get what they want out of life.

For me, I just want to be with my beautiful wife and daughter. I don't want them to worry about me when I tell them I am going away and cannot tell them where I am going. I want to stay around and become a better husband, father and quite frankly....a better guitar player! hehehehe........So far, I have been able to stay home for awhile......that is a good thing! Peace. Happy New Year!
