OK, here’s the deal. I bought one of those 6 string piccolo things. It was an impulse buy, I was at a store and they had a lefty. When they dug out the case, the thing just didn’t fit right… at all! This guitar is made buy another company that is quite well known and I expected a better fitting case.

I figured the store put it in the wrong case, but they assured me that’s just the way it is. Never trusting the store guys I started a long investigation and found that indeed they put all their guitars, left or right handed, in the same cases.

Long story short, this is another detail that the folks at EBMM got right! My lefty Bongos will fin in any of your righty cases perfectly.

Just another reason I love this company, everything is well thought out and designed, down to the box it came in. :D

Thanks!

It wasnt Gibson was it? my friend plays lefty and his Gibson never fit right in the case, and it was the same case they used for all guitars, it annoyed him immensely.

Chuck, why'd you buy that?? You could have gotten an EBMM man???

All of mine fit nicely in the cases and I've never had any issues with them.

do the musicman cases have any "compartments"? my brothers les paul case has an area with a...hmm. . a cover? a door? it's a good place for picks, a tuner, and a few spare strings....but it can be closed off from the rest of the case so during transport there is no chance of something coming out of there and moving about the case.

i'd like to throw my tuner and some stuff in the case when my SR5 arrives..but i don't want it just laying in there loose to where it could scratch my sexy black cherry burst finish.

If I could get a lefty Albert Lee I would try guitar one more time, and if I still sucked at it I would never sell it. The strat goes on eBay.

Stupid waste of bass dollarrs.... :(

I like your words magic man. I have gone through more strats than I can actually count... I kid you not. The cases on all F****r and G****n guitars when thinking southpaw are all stupid. The only case that was actually made to accomodate a LH guitar (other than EBMM) was PRS. But, paying 3600 dollars when I did, the least they could do is have a case that fits right.

That's what I love about EBMM. I get the guitar that forever squashed any want of another brand of guitar, for a fraction of the cost of those brands. EBMM; if you were a hot sexy girl, you'd be far too good for me.

I have 2 "off-brand" electric guitars; I should probably look into ditching them for an EBMM guitar! (But I'm not a serious/frequent guitar player.)

The D-35 ain't going anywhere, though!

There is no seperate door, but the way the lid closes it won't allow anything to come out of the compartments. It's a great design.

The only problem is that if you open your case with it standing up (as I often do) stuff most definitely does want to fall out.

I cured that by storing my doodads in a small zippered bag (actually a mic case) that fits snugly in the recess.

I do like the case a lot. I much prefer the SKB-type cases to the Tolex-covered "luggage" ones. Far more abuse-resistant.

Yeah, my case for my 30th has taken a BEATING so far and doesnt lookk as nice as it was when I picked it up. Granted, the point of a case is to protect the bass at all costs.
