Last Saturday night i was playing a club with my Y2D and i was on the dance floor dancing with this girl and she was kind of tipsy. All of sudden someone bumps her and then she bumps into me and the next thing I know beer over my guitar. So the next day I come home and open the case and there's just beer all over the back of the guitar around the bridge and my line 6 wireless transmitter was also covered in beer. I got out the polish and cloth and took care of the mess , now on to the next gigs. The Y2D can handle the abuse.

Has anyone else had weird stuff like that happen to them at gigs?

I should have taken a picture before I cleaned it some people around here would have cringed.

I once cut my finger on the point of the fingerboard on my mandolin. When I switched to play guitar, I strummed blood all over the front. Gruesome but kinda cool.
I once cut my thumb on my left hand at work on a knife and it wouldnt stop bleeding and had a gig that night there was blood all over the back of my neck at one point went right through all the band aids. gruesome also I guess

Dissappearing drummer because of an overactive smoke machine.
Drummer almost taking the bassist out with a slipping drum stick.
Power short out because the other guitarist fixed his effects power adapter by sticking a folded candy bar wrapper in it, which of course melted...

Mostly drummer related, and luckily no EBBM damage involved.

I was loading the gear up after a Morse/LaRue clinic and my right index finger got smashed, half the nail came off. Of course I had a gig that night and we didn't make it 2 songs before my guitar was decorated with an unhealthy amount of blood. It's a good thing Tommy was hanging out with his guitar, he and Beej had come to the gig and Tommy sat in for a few. It took 4 months to grow my nail back.

We've had people dance too close and faceplant over the monitors. We've had people show up on painter's stilts and wear them around the bar all night. We've had people suddenly decide that wearing clothing was optional. One memorable evening a big tractor pulled in towing a hay trailer and 15-20 people crawled out from under the hay (mostly clothed), walked inside, ordered drinks, and started dancing. After an hour or two they got back on the trailer and vanished.

And all that is just at 1 venue!

I"ve had the blood thing happen before...

Years ago i was a youth worship leader and we had a really big service with 200+ kids and we just got rockin and my pointer finger on my picking hand caught the string and a weird angle and peeled the skin back... it bled for the whole service and was all over my guitar... needless to say i had to change strings as they were now "coated"

Had the Blood thing happen to me too!

Got electric shocks at the PN Club, Munich big time!!

But EB related - well I think my BCB Albert Lee has led a charmed life - it's had the
headstock of a bass smash into it - twice!!! Luckily just on the pickguard each time so no damage done.

Had a guy hit it over (twice again on the same night!) - still not a mark!!

Gig stories - too many to tell and can't tell some of them here lol.
I'll pick one - travelling in our 48 seater 1960 Thames Bus from Cardiff,UK to Munich.
Broke 3 diesel injectors on the way and had diesel running through rigged up pipe work back into the tank.
We still got to Munich tho, and The local Bosch centre were so taken back with our bus they fixed it for free. The appartment we stayed was built for the Munich Olympics and I fell out of the top bunk and smashed my head on the drummers hip bone (he was sleeping on a matress on the floor). Played in a haze for a couple of days and suffered the electric shocks whilst still concussed. I loved that trip to Munich - really!! :D
Band on the previous week was AC /DC then us the following week and the week after us was Japan. Now how come I didn't achieve their giddy heights? - (don't answer that!! )

Edit

I still have the contract from that Munich gig too ahhhhhh memories!!
