I always wanted a classy strat so I went to a local GC today.

I can say; I had them all! But none was good enough - from cheap Mexicasters over American Series to real expensive Custom Shop Strats and they all kinda sucked.

No competition for my Pet in cases of handling, even the CS Stuff felt like 2 classes lower than an average MusicMan, crazy!

Is it just me or is there anybody feeling same way?

I think you are right in what you say but it's a hard job convincing the real die hard Fender nuts.

Let's thank our lucky stars that EB is the guitar business that it is.
Maybe, and I say maybe if EB made say 10 X as many guitars in a month that they did now, maybe QC would slip. Let's bear that in mind when we complain about the wait for our fabulous EB guitars.

Fender? Gibson? I have owned and played them, but after all these years I'm glad I got my balls.

i took my AL out to some stores yesterday to try out some Tech 21 amps, naturally the AL killed!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the salesmen tried to get to try their Fender Custom Shop Strats, and when i caved and did try one it sounded nowhere as good as the AL. The idiot guy thought the AL was a cheap Korean guitar.

I brought my Sub in to a shop here once, and the sales guy got a smirk and pointed to the massive wall of str@ts and said "See that? Fender..."

I laughed and said I can read, in a joking way :D

The best strat (as in strat-shaped guitar) I've played is an ESP Vintage Plus. But if you want "strat", why not get a Silo Spec. SSS? ;)

There are only 3 stores worth going to around here, and at least 2 of them carry EBMM. And I'm pretty sure the guy who runs the third one also knows about them too...

I am looking to pick up an EBMM EVH guitar in a red or amber curly maple top. I am interested in a guitar with low miles and a high quality top. If you got one you want to sell, I would love to hear from you. Email pics and your price to [email protected]. Thanks! Tom

Feel the same way too. I still have 3 Fenders that are getting very, very little use since I bought my Axis & Silo Sp.

Yeah man, I know the ESP Vintage and the Silo from Guitar-Center on Aachener Strasse.

The ESP is really a nice guitar. I like it a lot.
The Silo wasn´t my cup of tea. It didn´t felt as good as my Petrucci so I went for the Petrucci.

Who´s the third? Uli´s? or Realguitars?

When I just started playing guitar, before I even owned one (borrowed some sh***y guitar from a friend), my father's friend lent me his '73 Strat for one week. Even before I'd played a JP, I didn't like the feel of it. When I knew nothing about EBMM (or any true companies), the concencus was that Fender and Gibson were the best guitars you could buy, so when I first played the Strat, I guess I was expecting more. It's not like I could really play anything, yet, either but still, I could tell something was missing...

Then I got my OLP JP two years ago, and even not being a real MusicMan guitar, it felt right...The I got an actual JP6 and my hands felt at home. It looks a lot nicer than any other guitars, too

I'd say City Music Bonn. Do they still have the black Silo HSS at Guitar Center?

Don´t know City Music...

Yes, they still have it. I think they already have that Silo for about 2 or 3 years.
It doesn´t fell as good as the other EBMM I know which is perhaps the reason for hanging there this long time.
