EBMM logo question

I really like the old EBMM logo (with the two guitar players) which appears on the most bass guitar headstocks. I find it both old-school in a good way and classy.

I was curious why it is not used on the electric guitars as well.

This is pure speculation but the basses do have a historical connection with the early days of the company. The bongo doesn't even have Ernie Ball just Music Man on the logo. The guitars have no real historical connection in design (yes I know the Big AL or 5 string doesn't either) but are a step forward within the brand/company. Does that make sense our am I rambling? Again pure speculation

I think it was a branding issue . . maybe moving the guitar line into its own identity away from the string side. Or at least, that's how I interpreted it.

Funny this post popped up as I was just reading the new issue of Premier Guitar and they were reviewing the Classic Stingray 4 Bass and they were talking about the old logo. To be honest I like the new logo on the guitars better. By the way the Bass received 4 and a half picks out of 5.
