I sent an email to EBMM concerning the new prototype baritone model I saw John use in concert recently and wanted more information on availability but they did not answer me. Anyone know anything?

Yah John wasn't very happy with it so it's back to the drawing board.

You sure it wasn't the Silo Bass?

He's got a few of those and has been using them live...

The protos shown here were originally a 24.75 inch scale a la G$^%&# however I remember that he went back to a 25.5 inch option on subsequent protos...

So unfortunately neither were baritones as JP digs the stock Silo Basses...

***that sound you hear is Koogie's heart shattering****

But on the great side, the current JP model is spectacular and so are all the other models as well. I got to at least hold one and that was really cool. But hey, no complaints from this guy.....I had the time of my life and I am sure IF JP wants to change something on his siggy, it will be awesome in the end....not that he has to now!

I spoke to John after the show at Jones Beach backstage and he confirmed it was indeed a baritone model. He uses it on PAnic Attack from Octivarium. I thought it sounded terrific.

I was at that show and yeah, it sounded great. You're talking about that classic sunburst one right?

Would anyone like to bet as to whether that very guitar is now sitting in Ernies collection? :D

I wish! I would love to have the unfinished proto, but alas, it belong to the SLO archives.
