Weird, mine are pink and yellow plastic, no sticky. I guess they change things from time to time.

EB sent me a set of plastic and copper shims, it was up to me to decide what to use.,... call them, they'll hook you up and you can be all shimmed and happy! :)

I shimmed the neck of my Morse with a small piece of a business card. Worked great and didn't affect the sound or resonance at all.

There are a few different sizes of plastic shims for the neck pocket. The copper shims are for floyd equiped guitars and go under the nut.

I agree with you Jim , the copper shims go underneath the top nut .

I have a few different shims in the neck pockets of my EBMM , they are either small bits of plastic , or credit card !!

One of my EBMM EVHs has a wooden shim in there !! and it is the best sounding EVH that i have !! wood to wood maybe ?

Wood shims are excellent. There's a neat Dan Erlewine video where he shows off his approach for making wood shims the size of the neck pocket (so there's good vibration transfer between the body to neck and so no humps develop in the neck).

Guys, at the risk of sounding dumb, why do you need shims? Fine tuning the action?
