Sitting here watching Jay Leno (probably yesterdays) as I'm in Europe and we get older shows. Usually a day behind due to the time diff. The band is not too shabby, not my style, but still good. Well, the Bass Player is playing a Dessert Gold HH Bongo. It sounds sooooo good. Band's name is "Gym Class Heroes".

It makes me consider trading my Sterling for a Bongo. But not quite. The thought had occurred to me before today, but I doubt I'll do it. Probably will own a fretted Bongo though sometime (hopefully) soon. :)

Oh, found this pic on their myspace page:

"Cupid's Chokehold" is probably what shot Gym Class Heroes into the pop-awareness-circuit

Protection from rain and sun :D

Ok, fair enough...... But, it's obvious that he is indoors. No rain, and no sun. :(

I see people dressed like this in stores all the time.

Had a kid show up for an interview dressed this way.

Every other sentence was "Knowhutahmsayn'?

The interview was short. :D

True. You shoulda seen this interview kid. After a few minutes of "knowhutahmsayn'..... I asked him what made him choose that particular ensemble to wear to an interview.

He just stared at us like a deer in the headlights.

I must just be getting old, but what is the point of wearing a ball cap with a hood over it?

Ritchie

Because he looks BAD A$$!!! Especially when he has his pants down beneath his arse.

Saw a COPS episode once where they said they were greatful for the new style kids were wearing their jeans. It made it near impossible for them to run away.

Those dudes are from Geneva, NY -- my wife was very good friends with their first manager when they were at SUNY Brockport. Didn't think much of them then; threw out their first album even. The MC won a battle on MTV a few years back that kinda put them on the radar, but yeah, this new album (with the 80's hooks) is doing well on radio around here (CNY).

We played Warped Tour in Buffalo this year and they headlined the main stage, tho I did not notice the Bongo. It would be a step up, I believe he was playing SoundGears previously... I'll have to YouTube them!

they were plying the BOngo and most of the summer were on our stage. Brian found them and Kevin liked them and put the m on the main stage a few times. He will usually do that when a band has roots in a town
