Hi guys,
Just wanted to give you an update on the SS.

Re-strung it today with D'Addario 10's as it came with 9's on. I've always preferred the fuller sound of 10's, IMO it improves your tone but I must admit I liked the feel of 9's on the SS, really bendy and nice. To be honest I was going to go and buy a set of 9's to put on but I thought I'd best try the 10's anyway.
Bloody hell man  glad I did !!
Still really nice and bendy due to the scale of the neck but an even bigger improvement in tone. This thing just rings out now and is much fuller, awesome :D

The trem plate shifted a wee bit and became floating so I screwed the spring claw a bit tighter and I decided to give the truss rod a quarter turn, easy access or what ?!

So all in all I'm even happier than I was when this wonderful guitar first arrived, can't wait to get some recording done in the week ............. GREAT STUFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you get the Guard yet?

Im trying to find a place that can make a guard faster than 3 weeks.

Did you cut out the noise on the neck pup?

I have a pearloid backplate and guard fs if youre interested.

Its new but i have no need for it now.

:D

You got mail too

:D

Hey you are going to have to post pictures aswell!

hehe :)
it should be with you on tuesday :D
you use 10-46?

The pearloid plates are fitted and look awesome !!
Pics to follow when my batteries for the camera charge up :o

I've never changed a scratchplate before but it wasn't too bad, only problem was the sticky pad for the trim pot wasn't that sticky once I'd removed it and the Chandler scratchplate isn't fully screened like the EB one :o
