Its my first post so ..Hi:) Have problem with my ebmm sterling (2009, single H). I bought it used while ago and its really cool guitar but smth is not right with electronic - series mode (switch in position closest to the neck its series , right?) is much much weaker than single and parallel. Actually its like really low volume. And in the beginning sometimes when I switched it - was ok, but most of the time it wasn't..and now , for last couple of weeks its weak all the time, and its not a minor difference. Its like half of the volume of the other modes. Of course I tried with different batteries .
So do u know what can be the reason of this? Im happy with the parallel or single anyway but if I can fix it by myself with my soldering set can be nice:) But what should I check first? Its not old guitar, electronic looks nice and cleen - I couldnt see any weird connections or smth. Thx in advance for any help.

I sent message to the customerservice. Will see.
It looks like that in series mode the coil closer to the neck is not working so thats why in this mode is much weaker signal. And when Im touching coils with the strings in parallel and single coil modes there is much lauder clip while touching this coil closer to the bridge, anyway in those modes the neck coil is working but it seems just a bit weaker - is it normal? Or it should be the same kind of noise no metter which coil Im touching?

If someone has good wiring diagram of sterling H can be really helpfull - I cant find one. I cant locate which cable is going from coil closer to the neck to preamp and switch. Im from small town in Norway and there is problem with luthier here, but I know how to solder:)

Edit. And I have actually one more question . Its about weird thing I discovered when I unscrewed neck . Besides the 5 holes for screws which are holding the neck with the body there are 2 more holes, quite big, in the middle and one more smaller just on the side.. with those two bigger ones it seems like someone used two more screws to hold the neck in the past (there are prepared like this that u can have screws heads under the metal plate) . I forgot to take a picture:/ Anyway bass sounds cool, sustain is good...but never seen something like this..so many holes it the neck.. can it be that it was made in MM factory? Those 5 screws hold the neck in good way and are in good shape..so I dont see a point. Maybe someone know smth about .

Thaz normal. I know that it seems common sense that both of
the matching coils in a humbucker should sound equal, but I've
noticed this small difference in many many humbuckers. It's a
small difference. It's just enuf to make you wonder if something
might be wrong with the PU. But it's a rather consistent finding
from PU to PU across a large sampling, so I regard it as normal,
even tho simple common sense suggests they should be equal.

This is my first bass with this kind humbacker so it seemed weird for me:)its actualy not really minor, pole pieces closer to the neck are like half sensitive comparing to those closer to the bridge and this coil in series is not working at all . ( I even resoldered some connections which didn't look perfect..but nothing happened. There are so many cables, so maybe just didn't hit right...) . And still searching for nice wiring diagram..its weird , for every other bass it was never any problem to find drawings or diagrams..but for sterling H its sooo hard.

Edit.
I haven't received answer from mm customer service yet:(
It can be easier for me if someone can help with colours of the cables which are going from pickup. There are green , red , white and black . Which one is from coil closer to the neck?
