I pulled my JP6 out after not playing it for like 3 months due to getting my Morse around then. My basement is completely dry and is furnished, but I only keep one heating vent open during the winter bc I don't want to heat it when it isn't used for most of the day.
Point is, it's cool down there and my guitars don't stay in tune as well bc of the tempurature - usually
. I pulled it out tonite, and plugged in, and though I didn't hit the tuner to check it, it sounded in tune. So I played it for about a half an hour.
I was going to take it upstairs and watch TV and practice my exercises while relaxing. I figured I'd tune it up b4 going up.
It was still in perfect tune except for the B string being like one cent high! After all that time in the case and those cooler temps it maintained its pitch perfectly.
I have noticed on the Morse too that when I take it from my heated upstairs down to the basement to play amplified, that in the cooler temp it doesn't go out of tune either.
It feels reassuring to know when I pick up my MMs that they will be in tune and ready to play any time, any place
