I just swung by the GC in Nashville to grab some Hybrid Slinkys. I took a look at the guitar side, and the EBMM's are out next to the PRS's. The GC here has a nice sunburst ASS, a black Luke, and a rosewood ASS.

Glad to see the EBMM's getting some front-of-the-store exposure. I know this was something BP and the head of GC talked about.

Yeah, hopefully more GC's will follow suit and strategically position the MM guitars!! Whenever I go to my local GC stores, I always do a little, how do I say, "re-arranging" of MM instruments before I leave. I do it for free, so hey, they really can't complain!! LOL

It's unfortunate that EBMM products are not carried or IF SO ONLY IN VERY LIMITED SELECTION IN MY PART OF THE COUNTRY .( Sorry , hit caps lock but not retyping )
It seems that most only carry main line brand names which is unfortunate and robs guitar players of a whole other type of instrument to choose from . I've asked some guitar stores why they do not carry EBMM and some other products and the answer is " they don't sell well" or " nobody wants those " . Foolish store owners with narrow vision and marketing skills

Which is funny because like I had said in a thread a few weeks back, I brought my Blue Dawn lefty Luke to a GC to try amps and no less than 9 people came up and asked about it and wanted to know where the Ernie ball section of the store was. So, there is obviously interest. Hopefully the news BP gave last month will help improve the selection.

They are very limited. Infact, its funny. Because I went to Nashville for a few days, then Memphis to go see Graceland. I didn't see any Musicman Guitars. But It was nicer than the one in Roseville Michigan by a long shot.

My friend in Los Angles has been to 5 Cuitar Centers looking for a Silo and has not found one yet. I think he's going to the smaller dealers now.
I finally talked him into MM guitars and now the poor guy can't find one to try out LOL.

I thought it made good sense to put them out. Before, they were locked up in the "Private Reserve" room. I think there was a secret handshake required to get in there . .

Here in Nashville, the G****n custom shops are hanging out where you can get to them, as are PRS. EBMM's have just as good (better actually) quality, and they go for around the same price.

The only EBMM Ive seen at a GC lately was a rosewood Axis SS at the Springfield NJ store.

What a shame... it was buried with the crummy BC Rich spikely looking metal gtrs. I saw it immediately and picked it up. Played great. Very light weight and nice richly grained top.

I hope it went to a good home...

BTW Tim forget Manny's... 48th St is all owned by Sam Ash including Manny's. Rudy's is the only independent left. No MM at Sam Ash or Rudy's for that matter. All of the smaller independants are gone from 48th St.

GC is downtown around 13th St.

NO stores on 48th carry EB, nor any other stores outside of GC. It's on 14th street between 5th and 6th.

Make sure to take an extra $25,000 to buy that dorky EVH F#ND#R. Hmm... 1 fender or 13 EB's. No brainer.

SIxty four hit the nail on the head.......we could get bigger but it would have to be sustainable.....We have a balance that allows us to hit a great balance between economy of scale in production and no manufacturing pressure.....everything is sold and we can sleep at night/

And sleeping at night is something you just can't put a value on. :)

We're order twice as much as we did just a few months ago so keep checking your local GC for more EB's as time goes by. I ordered a bunch of Bahama Blue Petrucci BFR's for December so put it on your Christmas list now!

It's good to hear that GC is more actively promoting EBMM. I've shopped at the Beaverton, OR store many times and rarely have I seen any Music Man guitars. I was even told by one of the sales staff that they would only have a JP if it were special ordered by a customer. That was a couple of years ago, but he seemed to be right. I'm glad to hear that will be changing.
