I have been played guitar for 17 years now, and 4-5 year period was playing 6 & 1/2-10 hrs in a day. Usually i play 2-3hrs/day. It is still very difficult to catch Eddie´s sound - you have technique etc all right, you can easily play Eruption etc. EVH solos, but that sound - as Gary Moore´s sound too, it is very hard to get out - it comes from fingers, and there´s nothing to do with amps. Another very difficult is Stevie Ray Vaughan´s sound. Once someone said, that Stevie´s sound can be easily get out from Diaz´s amps, (still, fingers, fingers) but i never even seen one.
